This is the data edition for September 28–October 4, 2026. Every figure below carries an as-of date and a source, and every value from outside the window is marked as background rather than presented as current.

Where sources or definitions disagree — which they do again this week, on the all-stablecoin total and on TRON's USDT balance — we publish both readings and explain the difference instead of choosing one. This week adds a third discipline: DeFiLlama restated last week's baseline upward, and we show what the move looks like under both the old and the revised base.

1. Stablecoin Market Cap (by Token)

TokenLatest7-day changeNote
USDT~$183.764B+$400.3M (+0.22%)growth led by Solana +$589.8M and TRON +$120.6M
USDC~$74.485B−$1,369.3M (−1.81%)drawdown concentrated on Solana, Ethereum and Hyperliquid L1
DAI~$4.786B−$22.4M (−0.47%)smallest mover of the three
Big-3 total$263.035B−$991.4M (−0.38%)first weekly decline in two weeks; 30-day base still +$773.0M

The float gave back roughly two-thirds of last week's $1,549.7M rebound, and the composition matters more than the size: USDC's −$1,369.3M is a broad multi-chain drawdown while USDT grew on both of the chains that matter for payments. The 30-day picture stays positive for all definitions that include it, which is the honest frame for a two-way week. The final day extended the move — the Big-3 printed −$363.9M day-over-day, $357.5M of it USDC — so the week ended with the contraction still running.

2. USDT Supply by Chain

ChainUSDT balance7-day changeNote
TRON~$92.46B (derived)+$120.6Mreverses last week's −$238.2M; derived from last week's published ~$92.343B plus this week's change
Solanan/a+$589.8Mlargest USDT gain of the week on any chain
Ethereumn/a−$282.8Msecond consecutive weekly decline
Other chains (residual)n/a−$27.3M impliedresidual of the global +$400.3M against the three named chains

TRON's USDT balance is marked derived because this week's source reports the change but not an absolute level for the chain; adding the change to last week's published base is arithmetic, not a new reading, and it is labelled as such. The +$120.6M answers last week's watch item — the outflow did not extend — but one rebound week makes a range, not a trend. Ethereum's second consecutive decline is the quieter multi-week signal in this table.

3. USDC Supply by Chain — and a Baseline Restatement

ChainUSDC 7-day changeNote
Solana−$611.7Magainst DeFiLlama's restated September 23 base of $7.958B; against the $7.290B base printed last issue, close to flat
Ethereum−$436.5Mlargest absolute USDC chain after Solana's restated base
Hyperliquid L1−$333.8Mreverses last week's +$982.6M venue gain
Arbitrum+$164.3Monly named-chain USDC gain of the week
Other chains (residual)−$151.6M impliedresidual of the global −$1,369.3M against the four named chains

The measurement lesson of the week sits in the Solana row. DeFiLlama restated its September 23 chain-level baseline upward after last week's issue was published — Solana's USDC balance moved from the $7.290B that issue printed to $7.958B, a $668M upward revision. Measured from the restated base, Solana's USDC fell $611.7M across the week; measured against the level a reader saw in the prior issue, the same balance is close to flat. Both readings come from the same source. This report uses the restated base for week-over-week arithmetic, takes every figure from a single same-moment pull, and flags the restatement rather than silently absorbing it — a restated base changes every percentage a reader might compute from last week's table.

4. Total Stablecoin Market — a Tracker Band, Not a Point

Source / cutAll-stablecoin totalAs ofNote
DefiLlama (via StablecoinInsider)$313.2BSep 30USDT $183.8B (58.7%), USDC $74.5B (23.8%)
Rise Q3 report, first tracker$304.2BSep 29~$16B below the May peak of $320.6B
Rise Q3 report, second tracker$305.8BSep 30+0.97% week
Prior week's published read$305–310BSep 25range print, carried for continuity

Three cuts inside one week span roughly $9B. The differences are methodological — issuer coverage, burn handling, snapshot timing — not errors, and the honest presentation is the band itself. What the band agrees on: the market is above $300B, USDT holds a 58–60% supply share, and the last week of September was flat-to-down rather than the continuation of the rebound that the mid-month prints suggested.

5. TRON Network & Activity

MetricValueAs ofNote
Weekly transactions~100MOct 1second consecutive week near the level; per TRON DAO citing Crypto Briefing/Canary Capital analysis
Stablecoin transfer volume$163BSep 25–Oct 1TRONSCAN read of October 2

GasFree USDT volume (September)$3.51BSep 30per JustLend DAO, October 1; period label flagged (same print carried as 7-day total)

Activity metrics are the strongest part of TRON's week: a second consecutive week near 100 million transactions, a $163B measured weekly transfer volume, and the 52% small-transfer share — the single most payment-relevant ratio the chain publishes, because exchange settlement runs in large tickets and retail payments do not. Volume above a flat float is velocity, and velocity is what a fee market prices.

6. TRON Energy Market

QuoteUnit price65k costUSD equiv. (TRX $0.3358)
Cheapest 1h rental (TronRental)23 SUN1.50 TRX~$0.50
Itrx.io (1h)35 SUN2.28 TRX~$0.76
TronBid (1h)36 SUN2.34 TRX~$0.79
TronMax (1h)37 SUN2.41 TRX~$0.81
Tronzap (1h)38 SUN2.47 TRX~$0.83
Network burn price100 SUN6.50 TRX~$2.18
Burn, new-holder recipient (131k)100 SUN13.10 TRX~$4.40

The floor held: 23 SUN for a third consecutive week, with TronRental holding the cheapest spot this week after TronBid took it last week. Mid-market 1-hour quotes stayed in the 35–38 SUN band (TronScan.energy live table, read October 4–5), and the TronBid P2P orderbook snapshot of October 3 showed 1-day orders from 30 to 50 SUN and 30-day offers from 25 SUN. The week's supply-side news is JustLend's energy-rental base-rate cut from 15% to 8% (October 2), pricing 100,000 energy at 4.102 TRX per day — about 41 SUN per day — a marginal loosener arriving against a floor that has not moved. TronScan.energy's USD column remains computed at an implied TRX price near $0.10 and is not used here; every USD cell is recomputed from the SUN price at the October 4 close of $0.3358.

7. Per-Chain USDT Transfer Cost

ChainTypical cost per USDT transferNote
TRON (rented energy, cheapest 23 SUN)~$0.50cheapest 1h quote observed this week
TRON (rented energy, typical)~$0.76–0.8335–38 SUN 1h quotes
TRON (burning TRX, 65k)~$2.18existing-holder recipient
TRON (burning TRX, 131k)~$4.40new-holder recipient; ~2x
Ethereum (ERC-20)$0.02–$0.8 (measured)Sep 2026 medians; volatile — older guides cite $1–$10+
Solana<$0.10low-cost rail
BNB Chain (BEP-20)<$0.10cheap EVM rail

The comparison table is unchanged in shape and marginally repriced in dollars: TRX's +0.72% week lifts every TRX-denominated cost by less than a cent, and the honest cross-chain read is the one established last week — TRON's rented path overlaps Ethereum's measured medians at the mid-market and competes on price stability, acceptance, liquidity and tooling rather than on the absolute floor.

8. Exchange & Treasury Flows

FlowValueAs ofNote
Bitget one-day net outflow~$463MSep 28–29largest one-day net outflow DeFiLlama has recorded for the exchange; ~8% of remaining ~$5.7B reserves (Bloomberg/DeFiLlama)
Bitget Proof-of-Reserves131% (19 assets)Sep 29 snapshot47th report; USDT 107%, BTC 142%
Bitget Protection Fund>$300MSep 30fell below $200M after absorbing ~$264M of the $387.5M loss; replenished to baseline
Tron Inc. treasury purchases+295,368 TRXOct 1–2147,060 @ $0.3400 (day 252 of the streak) and 148,308 @ $0.3371; treasury >717.0M TRX

The Bitget rows are this report's exchange-stress case study, and they answer different questions: the outflow is a flow, the PoR is a stock snapshot, and the fund is a backstop balance — quoting them separately is the discipline. The Tron Inc. rows are the energy market's demand-side baseline: a 252-day buying streak that stakes into validation rather than listing energy for sale.

9. TRX Price, the TRXS ETF and Staking

MetricValueAs ofNote
TRX price$0.3358 (close)Oct 4+0.72% w/w; range $0.3323–0.3410 (Gate.io); OKX prints the $0.3410 high on its Sep 29 session — a venue day-boundary difference, disclosed not averaged

Tron Inc. treasury>717.0M TRXOct 2252 consecutive buying days
TRXS ETF net assets~$50.4MSep 10background — no newer figure in circulation; distribution now spans ten major brokerages
Stake to cover one USDT transfer/day~65,000 TRX (~$21.8k)referenceconservative reference; actual capital lock-up varies with network stake

TRX rose 0.72% against a bitcoin week that went nowhere — a reversal of last week's divergence, and a reminder that the token trades on its own cycle of structural staking demand and DAT/ETF accumulation rather than on beta to the market. The accumulation side added ten-broker distribution for TRXS and two more price-insensitive treasury purchases; the measurement side is still waiting for either an updated TRXS net-asset figure or the Q3 staking print.
