This is the data edition for October 5–11, 2026. Every figure carries an as-of date and a source, and values from outside the window are marked as background rather than presented as current.

Two disciplines run through this week's tables. First, window discipline: the stablecoin series ends October 7 and the price series is a Monday-to-Sunday week, so the two sets of percentage moves describe different spans and are labelled as such. Second, source discipline on the energy market: the newest low quotes come from a comparison site while the venue's own order book prints higher, and this report shows both rather than averaging them into one number.

1. Stablecoin Market Cap (by Token)

TokenLatest7-day changeNote
USDT~$184.296B+$482.5M (+0.26%)gain landed on Ethereum +$299.8M, Solana +$189.0M and TRON +$169.8M
USDC~$74.210B−$368.0M (−0.49%)an Ethereum story: −$393.3M there while Solana, Base and Polygon added
DAI~$4.788B−$11.7M (−0.24%)smallest mover of the three
Big-3 total$263.294B+$102.8M (+0.04%)flat headline over $850.5M of USDT-versus-USDC movement; 30-day base +$415.4M

The float's flat week is the least interesting number in the table and the most important one. USDT and USDC moved $850.5M against each other while the total held still — a reallocation, not an expansion — and the 30-day base of +$415.4M is now almost entirely a USDT story (+$942.3M) offset by USDC (−$498.8M). The final day added $18.8M to the total, $144.8M of it USDT against a $114.0M USDC decline.

2. USDT Supply by Chain

ChainUSDT balance7-day changeNote
TRON~$92.63B (derived)+$169.8Msecond consecutive weekly gain; derived from the ~$92.46B published in the previous issue plus this week's change
Ethereumn/a+$299.8Mlargest single-chain USDT gain of the week
Solanan/a+$189.0Msecond consecutive weekly gain
Avalanche, Plasma, Arbitrumn/a−$174.5M combinedthe three named chains that gave back supply
Other chains (residual)n/a−$1.6M impliedresidual of the global +$482.5M against the named chains

TRON's balance is marked derived because the source reports the change without an absolute chain level; adding it to the previously published base is arithmetic, not a new reading. The distribution is the point: USDT's gain landed almost entirely on Ethereum, Solana and TRON, while Avalanche, Plasma and Arbitrum gave supply back over the same week — a rotation between chains rather than a uniform expansion across the float.

3. USDC Supply by Chain

ChainUSDC 7-day changeNote
Ethereum−$393.3Mcarries more than the asset's entire global decline
Solana+$29.1Msmall rise after last week's restated-base decline
Base+$31.7Mlargest named-chain USDC gain of the week
Polygon+$31.0Msecond consecutive weekly gain
Other chains (residual)−$66.5M impliedresidual of the global −$368.0M against the four named chains

USDC's week was one chain's week. Ethereum lost $393.3M while every other named chain gained, so the aggregate decline of $368.0M understates how narrow the move was — and it lines up with the asset-level drawdown of the same week, since Ethereum-denominated collateral is the first thing sold when risk is cut.

4. Total Market and Cross-Series Readings

Source / cutReadingAs ofNote
DeFiLlama via NeoDrop (Big-3)$263.294BOct 7+0.04% week; the series used for all week-over-week arithmetic in this report
Circle per-chain API (USDC)$74.109BOct 7, 13:05 UTCwithin 0.14% of DeFiLlama's USDC figure — a same-asset cross-check
CoinMetrics circulating supplyUSDC $65.004B (vs $66.514B Sep 27); USDT ~$189.14BOct 6corroborates direction, not levels: runs above DeFiLlama and uses a nine-day window
Stablecoin Beat market-cap flow+$2.9B over 30 daysOct 7aggregate net inflow across the 20 largest coins; 7 of 14 coins above $500M expanded in 30 days

Two independent series agreeing on direction is stronger evidence than one series agreeing with itself, and that is what the USDC row shows: Circle's own API and DeFiLlama land within 0.14% of each other on the same day, while CoinMetrics' higher levels confirm the decline without matching it. The 30-day market-capitalisation flow turning positive (+$2.9B net) against a flat week is the same message as the token table — the float is churning, not draining.

5. TRON Network & Activity

Cumulative USDT transfer volume>$30TSep 23–24background — lifetime gross figure
Sub-$1,000 USDT transfer share on TRON52%Q2 2026background — the payment-oriented segment of the flow

The monthly GasFree figure resolves a period-label ambiguity this series has been carrying for two weeks: $14.87B for September against a weekly run-rate previously reported near $3.5B is internally consistent arithmetic, so the earlier 'seven-day versus September' conflict was a labelling problem rather than a data problem. The CoinsBee share is the most payment-relevant row — a 44.6% share of USDT payments combined with a 64.5% share of USDT turnover says TRON carries both the frequency and the size of that merchant's USDT flow.

6. TRON Energy Market

QuoteUnit price65k energy costUSD equiv. (TRX $0.3304)

Network burn price100 SUN6.50 TRX~$2.15
Burn, new-holder recipient (131k)100 SUN13.10 TRX~$4.33

The 23 SUN floor that held for three weeks did not survive this week. Comparison-site quotes put the cheapest one-hour single-transfer price at 17–19 SUN, and CatFee's own transaction log shows dated orders of 65,000 energy at 19 SUN (1.235 TRX) on October 6 — a settled price rather than a listed one. The countervailing evidence is the venue's own book: TronBid's snapshot of October 10 showed a lowest sell offer of 25 SUN and a 24-hour volume-weighted average of 29.182 SUN, and TronRelic's tracked single-transfer quotes ran from 1.80 TRX (about 28 SUN) to 3.21 TRX. The honest read is a two-tier market — a low single-provider tier at 17–19 SUN and a working book at 25–29 SUN — and this report states both rather than averaging them. TronScan.energy's published USD column still implies a TRX price near $0.10 and is not used; every USD cell here is recomputed at the October 11 close of $0.3304.

7. Per-Chain USDT Transfer Cost

ChainTypical cost per USDT transferNote
TRON (rented energy, cheapest 1h)~$0.37–0.4117–19 SUN quotes, including transacted orders
TRON (rented energy, P2P book)~$0.54–0.6325 SUN lowest sell offer to 29.182 SUN volume-weighted average
TRON (rented energy, typical mid-market)~$0.75–0.8235–38 SUN 1h quotes
TRON (burning TRX, 65k)~$2.15existing-holder recipient
TRON (burning TRX, 131k)~$4.33new-holder recipient; ~2x
Ethereum (ERC-20)$0.02–$0.8 (measured)Sep 2026 medians; volatile — older guides cite $1–$10+
Solana<$0.10low-cost rail
BNB Chain (BEP-20)<$0.10cheap EVM rail

The cross-chain comparison keeps the shape established two weeks ago — TRON's rented path overlaps Ethereum's measured medians at the mid-market and competes on price stability, acceptance and tooling rather than on the absolute floor — but the internal TRON spread widened this week. The cheapest settled quote and the working order book now differ by roughly 30%, which is precisely why operators should price against the tenor they actually need rather than against a headline floor.

8. Issuer Controls, Treasury and Flows

Event / flowValueAs ofNote
THORChain TRON vault freeze~$1.4–1.45MOct 10four vaults blacklisted by Tether, reversed after roughly three hours; 19 other addresses in the same batch stayed restricted

Issuer control is a payment-rail property, not a DeFi curiosity, and this week produced a clean demonstration: four vaults on a permissionless protocol were frozen and released inside three hours without a public reason, while nineteen other addresses from the same batch stayed blocked. The row that belongs next to it is the treasury line — Tron Inc.'s purchases are company disclosures, and an independent dashboard carries a materially lower balance for the same treasury, a gap this report flags rather than reconciles.

9. TRX Price, the TRXS ETF and Staking

MetricValueAs ofNote
TRX price$0.3304 (close)Oct 11−1.6% w/w; range $0.3300–0.3372 (Gate.io); OKX closes $0.3306 with the $0.3372 high on its October 5 session
TRX staked45.7BQ2 endbackground — latest published; Q3 report still outstanding
Tron Inc. treasury>717.6M TRXOct 7company-reported; consecutive-day buying streak continues
TRXS ETF net assets~$50.2MOct 2background — versus $50.26M on September 16; shares outstanding flat at 2.03 million
Stake to cover one USDT transfer/day~65,000 TRX (~$21.5k)referenceconservative reference; actual lock-up varies with network stake

TRX fell 1.6% in a week when bitcoin fell 2.1% and the altcoin complex fell 6–8%, which makes the token the relative winner of a losing week — the same divergence this series flagged on the way up, now running the other way. The accumulation side remains price-insensitive and small: two more purchases, a flat share count on the ETF, and no newer net-asset figure than the October 2 print.
